New Look is a British global fashion retailer founded in 1969 that ships to around 66 countries world-wide through their online channels. The main focus of the brand is their customers therefore most of their marketing efforts go towards social media. With more than 5 million followers across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter having a consistency and strong voice becomes essential.

 

Strategy

The strategy was the first thing to think about. It was important to create a summary of everything we wanted to do and hope to achieve on social media. We needed to create a specific plan to be as effective as possible in our communications. Before designing the templates we had to identify key areas that we wanted to highlight and communicate to our audience, the purpose of this task was creating categories/topics that we’ll consistently use in our communication channels

These stories are based on three different frames, the first one will announce the there are new products that just dropped in the site, this will be followed by a second frame featuring the new products. The last frame will encourage the audience to swipe up and land on the “new in” edit from the site.

 
 
 

Frame 1

The words “new in” will be repeating across the image creating a pattern that combines two different colours. The colours of the letters would vary depending on the background image and can be picked from the New Look colour palette.
